Your African Safari ExperienceWhen you arrive at Kwa Mbili Game Lodge, the laid back atmosphere will put you to rest. The team at the lodge will help you with your luggage. Because the owner is on-site, he can help make any decisions for the further enjoyment of your African safari. Once you are settled in and had some refreshment, your safari guide will take you out on an evening game drive.
The game drive includes a drive into the African savanna, with drinks and snacks, to watch the sunset. After the bush sundowner, you get back onto the vehicle and traverse the massive Thornybush Game Reserve. There are so many wildlife species to look out for in the dark of the night. The guide will provide as much information as possible during the game drive.
When you get back to the camp, you can warm up in the boma area as the dinner is brought in. While you indulge in the culinary delights you can plan your African safari activities for the next day and discuss some of the sightings of your night game drive. In the morning there is an early wake-up call followed by some refreshments and a game drive. Heading out into the bush this time of day is ideal. You can watch the wildlife creep out of the bush and head towards the waterholes. Your African safari reaches its peak when you get to see a herd of Elephant or some of the fascinating predators.
Don't be afraid to ask your safari guide as many questions as you want. He/she is well versed with the bush and has an abundance of ecology information and bushlore. When your morning game viewing activity comes to a close you will be welcomed back to camp with a nourishing brunch.
Then the rest of the day can be spent at your leisure or you can go on the daily game walk. Lunch and a high tea is served during the course of the afternoon before the evening game drive. When you finally depart Kwa Mbili you will be very rested from the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Additional activities include guided tours, Kruger Park drive and picnic, Panorama Route, Shangaan Cultural Village, Animal Rehabilitation Centre, Cheetah Breeding Project, reptile park, silk farm, rafting, golf, Blyde River Adventure Centre, microlight flights, angling and 4x4 driver training.
