Explore the beautiful Balule Reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa, enjoy wondrous safari game drives, indulge in local South African cuisine and stay at authentic African safari lodges. This 4 day Kruger Park Safari allows for unlimited adventure and a see-all-you-can, safari holiday in the Kruger National Park in, Mpumalanga, South Africa.


The duration of this Kruger Park Safari is flexible. Options include 3, 4 day and 5 day itineraries. Please note that the 3 day safari does not include the Balule Experience.

Transfer options to the Kruger National Park include:

  • Day 1: Arriving at the Tremisana Chalets

    You are transferred from Gauteng via the Highveld farmlands and the picturesque Lowveld to Tremisana. Upon arrival, you can rest and unwind in your room or have an energizing swim in the pool under the warm African sun. Thereafter you embark on a sunset safari game drive on a 4x4 open safari vehicle with a qualified wildlife guide.

    You get your first glimpse of Africa’s breathtaking beauty and wildlife and learn about the diverse flora and fauna in this area of Kruger. Watch the African sunset, and, when darkness falls, you use spotlights to track Africa's most nocturnal animals. Your dinner will be served around a Boma and boast local South African cuisine. After an exciting day, you retire to the comforts of your thatch-roofed safari chalet.

    Day 2: The Balule Experience

    Rise and Shine for an adventurous day of wildlife and nature explorations. Discover a remote part of the Balule Plains, while on a four hour “walk in the wild.” Your qualified wildlife guide will lead you through the African bush to track Africa's Big Five game. The thrill of following Africa’s mighty game and approaching close enough to capture an original photo will stay with you forever.

    You return to the Tremisana Lodge for brunch, after which you may swim, relax or just stroll around and enjoy the surroundings. After tea you set off on an afternoon safari drive to get up close to the South Africa's Big Five animals, then return to the African safari chalet for dinner.

    Day 3: Kruger National Park

    You drive to the Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park, you will be transferred to a safari Game viewer. The open safari vehicle allows for fantastic wildlife and photographic opportunities. So don’t forget your cameras. Your qualified wildlife guide will show you countless wild animals and birds that frequent this wildlife nature reserve in South Africa. You have regular pit stops at peaceful picnic spots, African rest camps and places of interest.

    Day 4: Final day at Tremisana

    Revel in a rise and shine safari game drive through the Balule Plains in the Greater Kruger National Park. After a delightful breakfast there is time to take final photographs of this South African wilderness area and the magnificent nature reserve in the Kruger National Park before departing. You will drive to the unspoilt Blyde River Canyon and view the Three Rondawels, then return to Gauteng by the afternoon.

    Optional day 5: Moholoholo Rehabilitation Project

    On day 5 of your Kruger Park safari you will visit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Project. Here you will learn more about rehabilitating orphaned animals and increase your understanding of conservation issues. Some of the animals Moholoholo Rehabilitation Project have cared for include Lion, Honey Badger, Leopard and vultures.

    Return for lunch at the Cheetah Inn before spending the afternoon relaxing at Marc's Treehouse Lodge. Explore the African bush with an exciting game drive in the Motlala Game Reserve. Some of the African wildlife you could see include Rhino and Leopard. Return to Tremisana Lodge in time for a delicious dinner.
