Arriving at Kapama Private Game Reserve, the welcoming team will assist you with check-in and getting your luggage to your room. There are 42 bedrooms, so that large groups of friends can spend their time together. Kapama Game Lodge has 20 suites and has the perfect setting for families. There is a childrens' play area, with a list of activities as well. Buffalo Camp has 8 safari tents and is the ideal setting for those who want to experience a luxury, intrepid explorers accommodation.

Once you have freshened up, your ranger will take you into the bush on a night game drive. Smell the freshness of the bush, and listen to the roar of the Lions and the chirping birds. Your African safari reaches an exciting point, when darkness falls and the nocturnal animals come out in search of food.

When you get back to the lodge, the rich aroma of a hearty dinner will greet you. After indulging in the many culinary delights, you can head off to bed or enjoy some after dinner drinks.

The mornings consist of a wake-up call followed by some refreshments and a game drive into the bush. After a few hours in the bush, your ranger heads back to the lodge where you can partake in a delightful brunch. When you are done eating, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You can try out one of the walking safaris, swim in the pool, visit the Endangered Species Centre, play a round of golf or relax with a treatment at the wellness centre.

After lunch and high tea, there is a night game drive. Always keep your eyes peeled for the species you want to photograph. Giraffe can be seen towering above the trees, the mighty Elephant march around in herds and the elusive Leopard stealthily moves through the brush.

Your days on your African safari are spent in this manner. Tracking the wildlife, enjoying delicious meals and a good deal of relaxation. Subject to availability is a romantic sleep out. A sleep out is a luxury deck in the middle of the bush, with a king size bed and an en-suite luxury bathroom. You will also have a radio to keep in touch with the lodge. Sleep outs are one of the best experiences to have in the bush.

Should you not want to participate in the morning game drive at the lodge, there are hot air balloon trips and Elephant back safaris. The hot air balloon trips include a wonderful balloon flight over the reserve and a champagne breakfast. The Elephant back safaris include a ride on the back of an Elephant with a ranger. It is a wonderful way of viewing the wildlife in the bush.
