Day 1: Marc's Treehouse Lodge, Motlala Game ReserveAfter arriving at Marc's Treehouse Lodge, cool off with a refreshing swim in the pool or relax with an early sundowner at the bar. Marc's Treehouse Lodge offers backpacker accommodation in rustic yet authentic tree house units in the Motlala Game Reserve, home to 3 of the Big Five (Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino). After unwinding, you will leave on your first Kruger Park game drive. The sunset game drives are perfect for spotting some of the nocturnal game in the area. Return to the lodge for a traditional South African dinner served in the boma (outdoor enclosure). |
Day 2: Kruger National Park, South AfricaOn day 2 of your 3 day Kruger Park family safari you will get to explore the Kruger National Park. Search for the well known Big Five (Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Rhino and Leopard). Remember to take your camera with to capture your memories while on your Kruger Park safari. Return to delicious South African cuisine served next to an inviting open fire. |
Day 3: Marc's Treehouse Lodge, Motlala Game ReserveToday you will be able to experience the African bush up close on an exciting guided game walk. Spot some of the diverse bird species found in the area. You might also see some Buffalo and Nyala. After your game walk, return to the rustic backpacker lodge for a delicious breakfast. This marks the end of your 3 day family safari in Kruger Park. The road transfer to Johannesburg will take you through the scenic Blyde River Canyon. Arrival in Johannesburg is scheduled for the late afternoon. Airport drop off can be arranged on request. |
Optional day 4: Kruger National Park, South AfricaWake up early on the last day of your 4 day Kruger Park safari and head out for a game drive inside Kruger National Park. Keep an eye out for Antelope, Elephant and Buffalo. You might also spot the scenic Baobab trees. Return to the lodge for a breakfast before departing. The road transfer to Johannesburg will take you through the beautiful Blyde River Canyon. Arrival in Johannesburg is scheduled for the late afternoon. Airport drop off can be arranged on request. |
Optional day 5: Moholoholo Rehabilitation CentreVisit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre on day 5 of your 6 day affordable budget safari in Kruger Park. The Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre is home to orphaned and injured animals. You will be able to learn more about how to care for these animals and conservation issues. Stop for lunch before setting off on a sunset game drive. Some of the African game you should keep an eye out for include Lion, Hyena and Jackal. |
Optional day 6: Kruger National ParkToday marks the last day of your Kruger Park family safari holiday. Start the morning with a delicious breakfast before departing on an exciting game drive in the Kruger National Park. The Kruger Park is home to a diverse range of African wildlife, including Wild Dog and Spotted Hyena. Birding enthusiasts can keep a lookout for Lappet-faced Vulture, Martial Eagle and Ground Hornbill. |
